11 May All criminal processes in a single Integrated Information System of Penal Process
All criminal processes run now on the Integrated Information System of Penal Process (IISPP) developed by Asseco Lithuania and its partners under the contract signed with the Ministry of Interior of Lithuania in June, 2013.
The project aimed to promote and expand coordination, cooperation and mutual understanding between the criminal law authorities in Lithuania and other institutions in Latvia and Estonia, also to create a single Integrated Information System of Penal Process (IISPP) with stored actual data of the criminal process.
Very large and complex project. IISPP system covers all penal processes: from registering a crime event (police or other investigation institutions, like jails, finance crimes investigation services, customs, boarders, etc.) to all process actions in police, exchanging electronically information of Police with Office of the Prosecutor, all process regarding crime investigation in Prosecutor Office, and further all related information is passed to the Courts (system also includes Judges actions, like permits to start electronically spying (phone, e-mail) and others). Many processes interactions between Police officers, Prosecutor’s and Judges, all crime dossier can be electronically signed and passed between the mentioned institutions, till the Court starts. Tools for process monitoring, reports and etc. Many integrations with registries (citizens registry, companies registry, convictions registry, etc., about 15 integrations in total). This is one of only few such kind projects implemented in EU (Lithuanian project covers the largest functional scope).
More than 5,000 users can use the system.
